Week in Review

I suppose I'll have three posts for today. I'm setting all kinds of records for myself, haha.
I'm just about caught up so let's take a look at last week's pictures in review...

Day 1: Sunday, Feb 5
This picture totally needs a description - DUMPLINGS.
Yes, those are DUMPLINGS!
No Super Bowl party is complete without yummy and mushy dumplings ;)
Why pay attention to the game when I can just watch these two cuties?
Day 2: Monday, Feb 6
Just getting ready for another Post Office run thanks to eBay.

Day 3: Tuesday, Feb 7
Either this guy (a) is not a Giants fan (b) skipped the first half of work to  go to the parade (c)  a tourist.
I'll go with A & B.

My beloved MK iPhone case makes an appearance at Loehmann's.
Well, not really. Those are a different style and I still like mine better.
I do like the price on those a thousand times more - $55 vs my $90.

Cacti @ West Elm.
I guess this is the new "it" plant for the spring.
A pop of yellow is sure to brighten anyone's day.
(Display @ West Elm.)

Day 4: Wednesday, Feb 8
I love my gold glittery shoes. They're perfect for "blah" days.

Day 5: Thursday, Feb 9
The day I became bangle & bracelet obsessed and checkout a thousand  ones on Pinterest.
And then I went shopping for some and came up empty-handed.

Day 6: Friday, Feb 10
I spotted a mini-Nancy.
This picture is also crap (but then again, most pictures on this blog are ) but it was apparently the only thing I managed to photograph that day.

Day 7: Saturday, Feb 11
I get off the train and I see this.
So many questions....

Playing tourist in Times Sq.
I also spot a heart.
Playing tourist part II at Toys R Us.
I've never set foot there in all these years!

Kinokuniya in Midtown.
I love this place! The eye candy can entertain me for hours.

A stamp (and more!) store in the West Village.
I now have an aversion to leaves. Especially leaf punches.

Ending the most fantastic day at the most fantastic Flex Mussels.

Word of the day: Instagram-ed.

Instead of posting my daily pictures at the end of the week, this week I'll try to actually post them daily. This way, I don't stress about when to make a blog post. And by stress, I actually mean "obsessively think about my blog but do diddly squat about it".

Also, this week's daily posts will be Instagram-ed. Yes, I turned that into a verb.

Without further ado...

It's hard to tell, but that's a mini/personal sized bag of shrimp chips. I just couldn't resist buying it. And what you see behind it is the best dried seaweed ever. It reminds my of my grade school bestie, who's Korean grandma made homemade fresh seaweed. God, it was great.

This was the only picture I took today. I was too excited to eat my seafood tofu soup and Korean BBQ ribs and dug right in before I could even take a shot of the heaven that lay before me.

PS - This is actually a picture meant for Sunday. But of course it's already 12:46 therefore making it Monday and since I don't have a time machine or the ability to freeze time, this post is not posted on the actual day. Although, I guess I could have edited my post from an hour ago to include this. But that would be too simple. (Or would it? Because it would mean I have to copy and paste everything I just typed and it would inevitably become a disaster because blogger doesn't actually like me).

Sticking to my word.

A post a day - STILL! High five me!! And as of today, perhaps we will try something new. (And by we, I mean me.) Instead of capturing the week in review at the end of the week, I will attempt to post a picture or two daily. How hard can that be? (That was a rhetorical question. I know me. I'm setting myself up for failure.)

Day 1: Sunday, Jan 29
Only at HomeGoods...the super, oversized pillow pet...
...and the larger than life ceramic roller skate.
Fried eggplant, roasted peppers, mozz and prosciutto.
Be still my heart - I will always love Royal Crown.

Day 2: Monday, Jan 30
Getting ready for the next day's post office run.
(Those blackouts make the picture look ugly but it's not nice to share ppl's personal information.)

Day 3: Tuesday, Jan 31
The grossest super market in the world has new full-sized ads in their window.
I swear it's to cover up the %(@* renovation job that has all the food exposed to the elements.

Day 4: Wednesday, Feb 1
First day of February means back to DD!
Good-bye daily Starbucks (you weren't that great anyway).

New month also means new pretty calendar page.

Day 5: Thursday, Feb 2
The Frank Gehry apartment building.
Love the architecture of these buildings on Spruce & Nassau Streets.

Strawberries, kiwi and grapes. Next time, no grapes.

Day 6: Friday, Feb 3
My my, Stuy Town, how you have changed.

They have a study?!

And on the other side a lounge?!

Day 7: Saturday, Feb 4
Sister and I once again having fun at HomeGoods.
Seriously, that spoon is huge.

Sister's birthday creation for Mom.
And a return trip to HomeGoods to find an even bigger spoon.
Seriously, what do people do with that?!

PS - I am posting this while watching the Grammys. What an odd collection of performances. And by odd, I mean Chris Brown sucks and Nicki Minaj's show disturbed me. Reminded me a lot of Madonna and Lady Gaga but even so, I still think she went too far.

PPS - I forgot to add this picture to Day 7. This is what happens when you leave Sister unattended in a car with her new app...

A post a day?! Guilt has set in. After talking so much about how I am bad at this blogging thing, and after thinking daily about my poor neglected blog but not actually doing anything about it, I am now getting organized. Okay, really the fact that I keep trying to take pictures as of late on my iPhone and it tells me there is no more space, is a sign from above (you know, the blog gods) that I need to get my blog, life, and phone in order :)  I am a creature of routine. When life goes awry, it's because I've stopped being organized.

Day 1: Sunday, Jan 22
From Real Simple...and yes, each and every one is annoying.
9/11 Memorial lights from above (which means I was at work on a Sunday).

Day 2: Monday, Jan 23
Salad made with chicken, lettuce, craisins, and BACON. Delish!

Day 3: Tuesday, Jan 24
I heart the library and I heart Po.

Day 4: Wednesday, Jan 25
My 1st attempt at making pesto...fresh grated parm + parsley + sliced almonds + bunch of other stuff.

Doesn't look very appetizing...
...but it ended up being quite tasty!

Day 5: Thursday, Jan 26
My evening snack. Don't worry, I didn't eat the whole bar that night.

Day 6: Friday, Jan 27
Eerie looking sky...mind you it's about 3pm.
Sister's ingenious way of drying her makeup brushes.
So crafty she is.

Day 7: Saturday, Jan 28
Yay! I finally beat one of my younger cousins!
Clearly, I only take pictures of me winning Words with Friends :)
Mom's surprise birthday party cake.

The method to remove skin from peanuts....rub it between the palm of your hands.
(Good job, Sister.)

Better late than never!

So it's almost a month since I did a week of photos.
Good news: I still have those photos.
Bad news: I haven't gotten any better at taking daily photos.

Day 1: Sunday. Jan 15
Framed Canvas Art @ Starbucks
(i.e. - DIY idea)

Yes, that is a "patched" up hole in the interior of my coat.
Snickerdoodles!

Day 2: Monday, Jan 16
Apple Pie @ The Clinton House

Day 3: Tuesday, Jan 17
Pretty Valentine's florist window display on 10th  & University
I spy with my little eye...(um it's 3 weeks past xmas!)...

Day 4: Wednesday, Jan 18
Never heard of it.
Sister is crashing which means baked goods!

Day 5: Thursday, Jan 19
Just another unusually warm and crisp lunch hour in the city.

Day 6: Friday, Jan 20
Close game! I usually lose. Quite the treat for a Friday.
Spoiled doggies.

Totally fascinated by this penny!
Blog world, meet Nancy. She is usually nekkid.
Upon Sister's departure for the weekend, she left me clothed and freaky looking parting gift.

Day 7: Saturday, Jan 21
First snowfall of the year!
8 hours later thanks to my slow cooker, I present to you Thai Chicken Noodle Soup.
Tastes better than it looks.

It's Official.

I am the worst at blogging. I still need to post pictures from 2 weeks ago. I didn't take a picture every day last week. I'm just not feeling it. *sigh* I need to get my blogging act together. See, I said this would be a challenge for me. Clearly, I'm failing thus far.
