If I Were...

...a bag, I would love to be one of these. Or better yet, can I own all of these?

Of course, I rarely every pay retail price or even close to retail-price (I like myself a fantastic deal), so unless I hit the lottery or simply find this on super clearance, I will just have to sit here and lust.

Inspiration: Rebecca Minkoff Nikki bag (purchased in excellent used condition at Buffalo Exchange for $80 with the dustbag still included!!)

The Return of Nosy McNosester

Inspired by the inspiration of today's "If I Were...", I have decided to indulge you Nosy McNosester's and photograph what's in my bag.

My purdy Rebecca Minkoff MAB.

The contents of my bag.

And now the lowdown...
  1. Kate Spade Noel Planner - I much prefer writing things than using my iPhone or any other electronic device. But really this just holds my receipts and reminders of when my library items are due.
  2. Gold Sequined Snap Pouch from aerie - As you see in the more detailed photo on the top right, it holds my bobby pins, some mini claw clips and an eyeglass cloth.
  3. Marc by Marc Jacobs Turnlock wallet
  4. Gold Sequined Zipper Pouch from aerie - holds some 'essentials' such as a practically emptymini tube of l'occitane hand lotion, bandaids (for when my shoes rub my heels), advil, red lip liner and red lip gloss (which I barely even wear), tylenol, individual wet ones (especially useful after riding the subway too much), and a tube of Rosebud salve.
  5. Ethnic Print Pouch from Target (love the pattern and bold colors!) - holds more random lip stuff I tend not to wear (are you seeing a trend?) and my Marc Jacobs heart mirror.
  6. Marc by Marc Jacobs Turnlock Key Pouch - holds all gift cards. You never know when I will pop by Old Navy. Or Marshalls. Or..
  7. Work ID (on a Marc Jacobs keyholder)
  8. L'occitane Lavender Hand Lotion
  9. USB Stick - contains all my eBay pictures and files
  10. Multicolor Muji Pen (I love it so much I have one that stays at work and this one that travels with  me everywhere) and purple pen (I just like to write in colors).
So what have we learned? That I don't actually wear make-up but like to carry it with me anyway? That I adore Marc Jacobs' turnlock items? That I'm super organized? Haha, don't let that last thing fool you. I just recently tried this many-pouches-in-bag thing and I will admit, it keeps the inside of my bag less cluttered, but I still tend to not find anything. Maybe because I'm just scatterbrained.

Anyway, hope you nosy people enjoyed this post. I'm off to google similar posts and be nosy myself.

PS - Not pictured in this bag are my keys (because they MUST be on the kitchen table once I get home or I will never find them) and my iPhone (because what else would I use to photograph the contents of my bag?).

The Return of Me!!

Why hello there!! Long time no blog.  Real life has gotten in the way of my blogging duties but I have been taking photos as much as I can remember and now it's time to do a dump to free up space on my phone and update this sucker.

Work has kicked my ass in the last week. And the weekend before last was fun, yet super busy. So apologies for neglecting my poor baby blog and here we go...

Friday the whenever - oh the 18th:

Yes, I may have gone to the Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sale again. And I may have gone during lunch.
And yes, I may have bought another bag :)

Only in New York...
top photo: baby & dog cart (seriously. dog had his/her section)
bottom left: Friday lunch hour @ Madison Square Park || bottom right: Eat at Mad. Sq. Pk.

left: Creative Grove
right: Jersey City fly girl (she has a twin and they're usually spotted together wearing some awesome outfit.)

Saturday the 12th:

en route to Staten Island via the x1 - part 1
(No family pictures to post but there was lots of meat, heat and babies.)

Then back to the City to see Death of a Salesman starring Philip Seymour Hoffman.
(Overall, it was okay. I wasn't quite in love with the character chemistry which I felt took away from the play.)

Then there was drinks and more drinks and a ride into Jersey City only to head back to the Island again the next morning. Stay tuned for part II of this post...

Fanatic.

Sometimes, I am a fanatic for shoes. Sometimes, I am a fanatic for clothes. And sometimes, I am a fanatic for bags. Clearly, I do not discriminate. After debating all of yesterday and much of today, I took the plunge and went to the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale.

Much to my delight, no line!!! And inside, was relatively ok. Until about 6pm.
Then it was so crowded I needed to start making a decision and get the hell away from all the women.

Let the hunt for my bag begin!

Just some of the beauties (and in my opinion, not some beauties).
So many bags and I walked around waiting for them to re-stock and I missed out cuz really, women are ruthless when it comes to shopping.

And those are the 2 beauties I decided would come home with me - welcome lovely ladies!
I really wanted a plum MAB and when I found the one above, she was the immediate winner.
I wanted a MAC too and it was SO HARD to choose but I settled on her since she was different from the "standards".

Sure, my two bags make me happy. And yes, I spent less than the price of one MAB's real price. but I seriously need to go back on a shopping hiatus. At least 'til my birthday? (Don't worry, that's only like 3 weeks, lol.)
